ABKSS Web Information January 2022 Issue <New Year> & CADSUPER FAQ Information

A new year has begun. I believe everyone is welcoming a good new year. Last year was a year of mixed blessings, but I hope this year will bring many enjoyable experiences. To that end, I would like to ensure that the various events welcoming the new year proceed smoothly.
In January, the cold season continues until the arrival of the beginning of spring on February 4, after the minor cold on the 5th and the major cold on the 20th. Even the cold air and the falling snow evoke a refreshing feeling unique to this time of year, as expressed in the poem by Murakami Kijō: "The bright star on the high peak and the onset of cold."
On the 7th, during the "Jinjitsu no Sekku" (Festival of Human Day), there is a custom of eating seven herb porridge. By consuming the porridge made with the seven herbs: seri, nazuna, gogyō, hakobera, hotokenoza, suzuna, and suzushiro, we wish for good health and safety.
This year is the "Year of the Tiger." The tiger is said to represent "a state where vitality resides, life is born, and growth is sought." Additionally, the proverb "If you do not enter the tiger's den, you will not catch its cub" teaches us that "without daring to take risks, one cannot obtain what they desire." Sometimes, bold challenges are indeed important.
I hope that the period of self-restraint due to the COVID-19 pandemic will come to an end, and that this year will be filled with vitality.
