Announcement of Participation in the 96th Tsukuba Research Seed/Venture Technology Presentation (12/11) - AI for Face Impersonation Detection and Blink Detection

Eliminate photo-based hacking of facial recognition. Liveness Detection (Anti-Spoofing) Technology determines whether the face in front of the camera is a real person or a spoof.

Built on technology jointly patented with Panasonic, our Liveness Detection (Anti-Spoofing) Technology is a biometric security core technology that prevents spoofing and hacking in systems such as facial recognition and eKYC (online identity verification). It works with visible-light cameras such as USB webcams and built-in PC cameras, and delivers high-accuracy determination using deep learning. It prevents spoofing through "Fake Face Detection," which can determine liveness from a single frame, and "Action Detection," which uses time-series data to detect specified actions such as blinking and changes in face orientation. By compressing the learning model, we achieve a processing speed of approximately 100 ms per frame even on CPU alone (measured on our Windows machine with an 8th-generation Core i7 CPU). We offer both an SDK and applications. The applications support CSV output and recording as standard, so they can be used beyond real-time verification. Two versions are available: a camera-input version and a file-input version.

By using the "eye detection technology" (RGB version), you can detect "blinking," "viewing distance," and "eye feature points" with a webcam.

The "joint patent technology" and "eye detection technology (RGB version)" utilizing "deep learning" developed by Panasonic and our company are highly versatile elemental technologies that allow for easy measurement of "blinking," "eye feature points," and "viewing distance (the distance from the camera to the eye)" using web cameras or device cameras on PCs. The detection uses a learning model based on deep learning, and we have compressed the learning model to achieve a processing speed of 50 to 60 ms per frame even with CPU processing (on our company's Windows machine with an 8th generation Core i7 CPU). We offer an SDK and an application, with the application supporting CSV output and recording functions, making it suitable for more than just real-time verification. The application is available in both "camera input version" and "file input version."

Hotron Inc. has launched its new product, the "Vehicle Count Sensor CCS3"! This product is a ceiling-mounted sensor that combines infrared and radar technology. It reliably detects vehicles in both directions with a single unit, accommodating traffic during congestion and vehicle passing, thus achieving efficient occupancy management in large parking lots. Additionally, it can be utilized for exit warning purposes in addition to vehicle counting, contributing to the safe and smooth operation of parking facilities. 'Features' - Improved detection performance against changes in road surface during rainy weather by using both infrared and radar. - Equipped with IP67 waterproof and dustproof performance, making it effective even in salt damage areas. - Various settings can be configured from a dedicated app (for Android devices), with current settings easily visible at a glance. - The base dimensions are the same as the previous model "CCS2," allowing for smooth replacement of existing equipment. *For more details, please refer to the product information, catalog download, or contact us.*

For food-related businesses, ensuring food safety is an important initiative for enhancing corporate reliability and reducing risks. We provide a clear explanation of the overview of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS), its purpose, expected benefits, and the differences between representative standards such as ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 in our website's column.
