Implemented diagonal reinforcement measurement function in the reinforcement inspection AR system "BAIAS".
We are pleased to announce that starting April 30, 2026, the rebar inspection AR system "BAIAS" will implement a measurement function for diagonal rebar.
Due to improvements in seismic performance and aesthetic reasons, diagonal rebar is widely used in architectural structures. Additionally, in the civil engineering field, diagonal rebar is frequently utilized in areas such as the joints between bridge piers and abutments, as well as in the construction of slope shotcrete frames. Traditionally, measurement was conducted using tape rods, measuring tapes, or calipers, which presented challenges such as difficulty reading scales and variability in values, requiring the involvement of multiple workers.
While BAIAS previously supported vertical rebar in the vertical direction and horizontal rebar in the horizontal direction, it did not accommodate diagonal rebar arranged in diamond or parallelogram shapes, and we received numerous requests from customers for this feature.
As a result, we have improved the system to allow the selection of diagonal vertical and horizontal rebar when identifying the rebar to be measured, enabling the measurement of the number and spacing of rebar using AR marker placement for diagonal rebar as well. This expansion of applicable construction types for BAIAS will enhance user convenience and improve work efficiency.
