The ZERO-I (Zero One) coating for molds is now available as a series!!
Two new lineups have been added to the popular ZERO-I coating, known for improving the lifespan of press molds used for forging molds and high-tensile material processing among PVD coatings. The "ZERO-IW Coating" (Zero One Double) is based on the well-established characteristics of the conventional ZERO-I coating, with a film thickness approximately twice that of the previous version, enhancing wear resistance and further extending the lifespan of molds. This product is suitable for production environments under severe conditions, such as press molds for ultra-high-tensile materials, warm and hot forging molds, and die-cast molds. The "ZERO-IPLUS Coating" (Zero One Plus) maintains the same film thickness as the conventional ZERO-I while reducing aggressiveness towards the counterpart and emphasizing release properties and slip characteristics. Utilizing these features, it suppresses adhesion wear of iron and improves mold lifespan. It is expected to be compatible not only with conventional cold forging but also with difficult-to-process materials like stainless steel.
