Product condition and underfloor environment of the Dry Pro type-C after approximately 2.5 years of use.

セイホープロダクツ セイホープロダクツ 業務本部
This is a report on the inspection results after approximately two and a half years of using the Dry Pro Type-C in the newly added crawl space (foundation packing method) during the renovation. The inspection results showed that there was no dust or other substances adhering to the heat dissipation fins of the dehumidifier, the dehumidifying fins, the intake of the blower, or the fan that could negatively affect performance. Additionally, there were no foreign substances or dust adhering to the drain hose for dehumidified water or the pump tank that could adversely impact performance, and all components were functioning normally. (Photo: Heat dissipation fins of the dehumidifier) The newly added crawl space was located on the north side in a poorly ventilated area, but no signs of mold or condensation were observed, confirming that a dry state was maintained. Underfloor electronic dehumidification unit 'DRY PRO' Ver3

Contributes to the suppression of condensation and mold under the floor. A new model compatible with the foundation packing method has been introduced.

The "DRY PRO" Ver3 is an electronic dehumidifying and ventilation unit for underfloor use, combining a Peltier cooling device with a dedicated stirring and diffusion-type blower. In addition to the diffusion-type model "TYPE-D" for foundation insulation methods, a new model "TYPE-C" compatible with foundation packing methods has been added to the lineup. It can dehumidify even in areas where moisture tends to accumulate by stirring a wide range of air. It helps suppress moisture and condensation under the floor, contributing to the prevention of mold, pests, and decay fungi in wooden components. Furthermore, with the version upgrade in June 2024, a powerful dehumidification operation mode has been added. The surrounding temperature range for dehumidification operation (low-temperature dehumidification operation range) has been expanded, now accommodating surrounding temperatures down to 5°C. 【Features】 ■ Easy installation with a φ22 drainage hole (no drainage pump required) ■ Automatic operation possible with a dedicated indoor controller ■ The direction of the aluminum duct of the blower can be set freely ■ Dehumidification capacity of 1800mL per day (depending on conditions) ■ Uses non-fluorinated electronic cooling technology ■ Compatible with underfloor flooding sensors (optional) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Corrosion prevention measures due to condensation in humid environments.

Measures against condensation in summer! Condensation and corrosion within wall structures are often difficult to detect.

In 2020, the "mandatory energy-saving standards for housing" are scheduled to be implemented, and it is expected that Japanese housing will increasingly aim for high airtightness and high insulation. However, at the same time, measures against condensation during the summer must be considered. In a site where glass wool was filled using the 2x4 construction method and a vapor barrier was installed on the interior side, significant corrosion due to condensation occurred. It is believed that the interior became hot and humid, leading to condensation as it was cooled by the air conditioner on the inside. The hold-down hardware also showed white mold, and if corrosion progresses like this, it will pose problems for the durability of the building. This type of summer condensation particularly occurs in regions with high temperatures and humidity, like Japan. Therefore, it is necessary to implement sufficient measures against winter-type condensation while simultaneously preventing summer-type condensation. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Dehumidification and condensation measures for sealed crawl spaces! Electronic dehumidifying and air blowing unit for crawl spaces.

[Demo available] Powerful airflow spreads dehumidified air over a wide area! By making a Φ22 hole for the drain pipe, installation can be easily done.

The "Dry Pro" electronic dehumidifying and blowing unit for underfloor use combines a Peltier cooling device with a diffusion-type blower to dehumidify the entire underfloor area, suppressing the occurrence of moisture and condensation! This system is designed to dehumidify the space between the foundation and the floor, suitable for housing construction methods that lack ventilation openings. On days with high humidity during the rainy season or summer: ● Powerful dehumidification at 1800ml/day It effectively resolves moisture and condensation issues, and is useful for preventing mold, pests, and decay fungi in the wooden parts under the floor. 【Features】 ■ Easy installation by simply drilling a Φ22 hole for drainage! ■ Dehumidified air is circulated widely by the blower ■ Equipped with fitonchid, which has deodorizing effects, as standard ■ Patent and design applications submitted ■ Fully automatic operation with a dedicated controller *Please note that [demo visits] may not be available in certain regions. Thank you for your understanding in advance. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Solving floor moisture problems in homes with basic insulation methods.

The cause is a large amount of water vapor! The challenge is how to remove humidity and suppress mold and decay.

Foundation insulation is a method of insulating the foundation that faces the outside air. The period when the risk of condensation and mold is highest with foundation insulation is from June to September of the first year after completion. The main cause is the large amount of water vapor coming from the concrete floor. Especially, wood that contains a lot of moisture significantly deteriorates in strength, so it is important to be cautious considering durability against earthquakes and typhoons. As a solution to these humidity problems, our company has developed a dedicated underfloor dehumidifier called "Dry Pro." It effectively eliminates humidity and condensation, and is useful for preventing mold, pests, and decay fungi in the underfloor wooden components. (Patent and design application pending) 【Features of Dry Pro】 ■ Dehumidification capacity of approximately 400-600cc per day on humid days during the rainy season and summer ■ Circulates dehumidified air widely using a blower ■ Quiet design: 45/44dB ■ Standard equipped with phytoncide that has deodorizing effects *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Effect Verification Test] Underfloor Dehumidifying Blower "Dry Pro"

After about one month, a drier condition (wood moisture content 12%) was confirmed!

"Dry Pro" is a floor underfloor dehumidifying fan that effectively eliminates moisture and condensation, and is effective against mold, pests, and decay fungi in the wooden parts under the floor. Assuming the early stages of new construction using foundation insulation methods, 36 liters of water were sprayed on the underfloor foundation of each building, and dried wood (cedar) was installed to measure the moisture content of the wood and the humidity under the floor. As a result, the buildings where this product was installed gradually dried out by repeatedly operating the dehumidification process every day, and after about two months, an average of approximately 70% RH dry condition was confirmed even outside of dehumidification operation hours. [Experiment] ■ Test House A - Floor area approximately 10 tsubo - Underfloor with foundation insulation method (Dry Pro installed) ■ Test House B - Floor area approximately 10 tsubo - Underfloor with foundation insulation method (without dehumidifying fan) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Driftwood Catching Tool "RB Catcher"

Addition of the "RB Catcher," a log capture device, installed on impermeable sediment control dams.

  • NEW
  • PRODUCT

We have newly added the "RB Catcher," a log capture device installed on impermeable sediment control dams in flow sections, to our product lineup and have started sales. The RB Catcher is directly attached to the upstream part of the impermeable sediment control dam to enhance log capture functionality. Unlike the conventional straight arrangement, it features a structural layout that creates gaps between units, ensuring that water flow is maintained without causing blockages after capturing logs. This allows for the reliable capture of subsequent logs without overflow, preventing damage downstream. By adding this new log capture device to our lineup, we will flexibly respond to various needs in the field.
