Underfloor ventilation: An important point for the health of your home and family.

Is your underfloor okay? With "Kazetarou," you can prevent condensation and extend the lifespan of your building!

The humidity indoors is visible as condensation, so by opening windows or using exhaust fans, the trapped moisture can be expelled outdoors. But did you know that there is also a lot of this moisture under the floor? Modern homes have achieved excellent comfort through high airtightness and high insulation. However, as the structural reinforcement of foundations has progressed, the crawl spaces have become lower and the compartments more complex, making ventilation under the floor more difficult. Just checking one of the items below does not mean you can relax. If any one of them applies, it is a danger signal for your home. 【Let’s check together】 ■ When you open the underfloor storage or tatami mats, there is a musty smell. ■ There are black stains on the walls near the closet or dresser. ■ There is always condensation dripping from the windows or the lower part of the window sills. ■ The tatami feels damp and spongy. ■ The floor creaks, or you occasionally see winged ants in places like the bathroom. ■ You often get bitten by mites. ■ The floorboards feel sticky. ■ The cloth foundation is always damp or has moss growing on it. ■ There are cracks in the cloth foundation. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Attic Ventilation: An Important Point for Home and Family Health

Introducing the importance of "attic ventilation" along with a checklist!

Originally, Japanese houses were designed to suit the hot and humid climate, featuring an open structure that allowed for good ventilation. However, modern homes have pursued comfort, leading to increased airtightness and insulation, which has begun to raise concerns in recent years. If only one of the following items is checked, it does not mean you can relax. If any apply, it is a warning signal for your home. 【Let's check together】 ■ It's cool outside, but the room is stuffy ■ Air conditioning is ineffective ■ Many uncomfortable nights ■ Mold has appeared on the ceiling or in closets ■ The room smells musty ■ Eyes feel irritated ■ Children often cough ■ Condensation has appeared in the attic *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Experiment on the effect of using a ventilation system on indoor air conditioning electricity consumption.

The reduction rate is approximately 15% to 23%! We confirmed energy-saving effects by ventilating the attic.

This experiment examines the "effect of indoor air conditioning electricity consumption." By ventilating the attic, the reduction rate of electricity consumption during air conditioning operation on sunny days was approximately 15% to 23% (*), confirming the energy-saving effect. Additionally, a comparison of temperatures between the attic, indoors, and the human body using a thermotracer showed that with a ventilation system, the temperature of wooden components such as beams in the attic and the ceiling surface was lower, and the temperature difference indoors was reduced with height. *Varies depending on conditions and the air conditioner's capacity and efficiency. Air conditioning operation time: 16:00 to 22:00 for 6 hours. 【Results of the indoor air conditioning electricity consumption effect experiment】 ■ The reduction rate of electricity consumption during air conditioning operation was approximately 15% to 23% (on sunny days). ■ The energy-saving effect was confirmed. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Comparison of moisture content in underfloor support timber

When the moisture content exceeds 20-25%, wood decay is more likely to occur.

We conducted an experiment on how completely dried wood is affected by the ventilation conditions under the floor in a test house. Initially, the moisture content rises as it absorbs moisture from under the floor, but in the case of having a "subfloor ventilation fan" installed, the moisture content of the posts stabilizes at around 20%, as shown in the graph in the image. It can be seen that the moisture content is about 5% lower compared to when there is no "subfloor ventilation fan." 【Test Overview】 <Comparison of Moisture Content in Subfloor Posts in the Test House> ■ Duration: May 24, 2003 - July 27, 2003 ■ Post Size: 105×400mm, measuring 3 posts, the graph shows the average moisture content of the 3 posts ■ Measuring Equipment: Sanko Electronic Research Institute Co., Ltd. Corrosion prevention measures due to condensation in humid environments.

Measures against condensation in summer! Condensation and corrosion within wall structures are often difficult to detect.

In 2020, the "mandatory energy-saving standards for housing" are scheduled to be implemented, and it is expected that Japanese housing will increasingly aim for high airtightness and high insulation. However, at the same time, measures against condensation during the summer must be considered. In a site where glass wool was filled using the 2x4 construction method and a vapor barrier was installed on the interior side, significant corrosion due to condensation occurred. It is believed that the interior became hot and humid, leading to condensation as it was cooled by the air conditioner on the inside. The hold-down hardware also showed white mold, and if corrosion progresses like this, it will pose problems for the durability of the building. This type of summer condensation particularly occurs in regions with high temperatures and humidity, like Japan. Therefore, it is necessary to implement sufficient measures against winter-type condensation while simultaneously preventing summer-type condensation. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Solving floor moisture problems in homes with basic insulation methods.

The cause is a large amount of water vapor! The challenge is how to remove humidity and suppress mold and decay.

Foundation insulation is a method of insulating the foundation that faces the outside air. The period when the risk of condensation and mold is highest with foundation insulation is from June to September of the first year after completion. The main cause is the large amount of water vapor coming from the concrete floor. Especially, wood that contains a lot of moisture significantly deteriorates in strength, so it is important to be cautious considering durability against earthquakes and typhoons. As a solution to these humidity problems, our company has developed a dedicated underfloor dehumidifier called "Dry Pro." It effectively eliminates humidity and condensation, and is useful for preventing mold, pests, and decay fungi in the underfloor wooden components. (Patent and design application pending) 【Features of Dry Pro】 ■ Dehumidification capacity of approximately 400-600cc per day on humid days during the rainy season and summer ■ Circulates dehumidified air widely using a blower ■ Quiet design: 45/44dB ■ Standard equipped with phytoncide that has deodorizing effects *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Effect Verification Test] Underfloor Dehumidifying Blower "Dry Pro"

After about one month, a drier condition (wood moisture content 12%) was confirmed!

"Dry Pro" is a floor underfloor dehumidifying fan that effectively eliminates moisture and condensation, and is effective against mold, pests, and decay fungi in the wooden parts under the floor. Assuming the early stages of new construction using foundation insulation methods, 36 liters of water were sprayed on the underfloor foundation of each building, and dried wood (cedar) was installed to measure the moisture content of the wood and the humidity under the floor. As a result, the buildings where this product was installed gradually dried out by repeatedly operating the dehumidification process every day, and after about two months, an average of approximately 70% RH dry condition was confirmed even outside of dehumidification operation hours. [Experiment] ■ Test House A - Floor area approximately 10 tsubo - Underfloor with foundation insulation method (Dry Pro installed) ■ Test House B - Floor area approximately 10 tsubo - Underfloor with foundation insulation method (without dehumidifying fan) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Special Discussion: "Humidity and Condensation Measures in Attics. The Importance of Ventilation."

The Future of Wind and Housing! A Discussion on the Current State of Attics in Japanese Homes.

In this discussion, we explain measures against humidity and condensation in attics, as well as the importance of ventilation. Our company launched the underfloor ventilation system in 1981, and two years later, we introduced the attic ventilation system. Since then, after several model changes, it has become common to adopt it as a standard specification for new constructions. However, through many years of promotional activities, there is an impression that attic ventilation is perceived only as a measure against heat by both businesses and end users. *For more details about the discussion, you can view the PDF materials or related links. Home Security System "Life Defense Air"

"It's too late after becoming a victim." In light of recent violent robbery incidents, what kind of crime prevention measures should be taken? Here are some suggestions for self-defense measures.

"Life Defense Air" is a wireless sensor system installed on windows and doors that detects intruders and deters them with a loud alarm sound, making it difficult for them to continue their actions. At the same time, it makes a phone call to a pre-registered smartphone to notify of the abnormal situation. Even when at home, it can be set to a security mode, deterring intruders with the alarm sound. Additionally, it includes a monitoring function for the elderly. For example, by installing wireless sensors in places where daily activities can be monitored, such as the bathroom door, it leaves a one-call notification on the family member's smartphone at a set time each day. Those monitoring can feel reassured simply by checking the call history at the designated time. The fact that the elderly do not need to operate any machinery is also excellent.

Comparison of Deal Conversion Rates: Strategies for Creating Deals in the Era of Rising Lead Acquisition Costs - A Comprehensive Comparison of BtoB Marketing and Sales Initiatives.

  • NEW
  • SEMINAR_EVENT

The spread of generative AI is significantly changing information gathering behaviors in BtoB. Opportunities for prospective customers to click through and compare each Google search result are decreasing, and clicks obtained through search ads are becoming increasingly scarce. As a result, the cost per click and cost per acquisition (CPA) are soaring, making traditional methods unprofitable. Many BtoB marketing and sales leaders are currently facing this serious challenge. In this conference, we will thoroughly compare major BtoB strategies such as web advertising, trade shows, webinars, and outbound marketing from the perspective of "efficiency in generating business negotiations." We will provide detailed explanations of the realistic negotiation conversion rates for each strategy and the selection criteria to maximize cost performance. "I can generate leads, but they don't turn into negotiations." "CPA keeps rising, and I'm unsure about the next investment." "I want to break free from reliance on ads and identify strategies that lead to negotiations." Find guidance to solve these challenges and discover winning strategies for your company.
