(Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo) and managed by ECL Ship Management Co., Ltd. (same). This vessel has obtained certification from the Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (NK) indicating that it has implemented additional fire safety measures for the maritime transport of electric vehicles (EVs), known as "AFVC (Additional Fire-Fighting measures for Vehicle Carrier)." In recent years, there have been frequent fire incidents worldwide on car carriers during navigation, believed to be caused by lithium-ion batteries installed in EVs. The "HEAT SHIFT Fire Smoke for VC" serves as a powerful backup tool for vessels facing such challenges in their operations.
