Nett Toyota Saitama introduces a new material that releases heat into space with zero energy. At its store in Kumagaya, known as the "hottest city in Japan," it reduces air conditioning energy and accelerates its decarbonization efforts.

Our company and Ronseal Industrial Co., Ltd. have begun testing the introduction of waterproof sheets utilizing the radiative cooling material "SPACECOOL" as part of the decarbonization efforts of Netz Toyota Saitama Co., Ltd., aimed at reducing air conditioning energy in stores. This is the first time this product will be introduced in an automobile dealer showroom.
The radiative cooling material "SPACECOOL" can cool by releasing heat into outer space under direct sunlight, achieving zero energy consumption. By integrating it with Ronseal Industrial's waterproof sheets, we can realize both energy savings and the waterproof performance of building rooftops.
As a result of applying this product to the rooftop of the Netz Toyota Saitama Kumagaya store, we confirmed that while the temperature of the surrounding roads was approximately 59°C, the surface temperature of the building's rooftop was kept to about 39°C.
