Hokkaido Gas adopts the radiation cooling material "SPACECOOL" for its outdoor remote monitoring and control panel - Aiming for further stable gas supply by avoiding equipment shutdowns due to electronic device failures in summer.

We are pleased to announce that the radiation cooling material "SPACECOOL," developed and sold by SPACECOOL Corporation, has been adopted for the outdoor remote monitoring and control panels of gas supply facilities owned by Hokkaido Gas Co., Ltd.
For gas supply operators, it is essential to control gas pressure and remotely operate valves to ensure the safe and stable supply of gas to customers. These remote monitoring control panels are installed outdoors, and particularly in summer, direct sunlight can cause the temperature inside the panels to rise, triggering high-temperature alerts and potentially leading to equipment failures.
In response to these challenges, Hokkaido Gas, which faced similar issues, focused on the radiation cooling material "SPACECOOL," which can cool without energy consumption under direct sunlight. They have introduced SPACECOOL to approximately 350 outdoor remote monitoring control panels. Furthermore, by adopting SPACECOOL in newly installed control panels, they aim to address the aforementioned challenges and ensure a safer and more stable gas supply, especially during the anticipated heatwaves this summer and beyond.
