The air conditioning industry’s first heat mitigation product utilizing radiation cooling material "SPACECOOL," the optional item "COOL WING" for gas engine heat pumps, is now on sale.

We are pleased to announce that "SPACECOOL," a zero-energy radiative cooling material developed and sold by SPACECOOL Co., Ltd., has been adopted as an optional product called "COOL WING" for gas engine heat pumps (hereinafter referred to as "GHP"), which will be launched for sale on April 1, 2024, by Osaka Gas Co., Ltd., its wholly-owned subsidiary Daigas Energy Co., Ltd., and Yanmar Energy System Co., Ltd. This marks the first adoption of radiative cooling materials in the air conditioning industry (*).
This material is a radiative cooling material that can lower temperatures below the outside air temperature without using energy, even under direct sunlight. COOL WING consists of this material adhered to a stainless steel hood, covering the heat exchanger portion of the GHP outdoor unit, which is expected to reduce the intake temperature in hot environments and contribute to energy savings and CO2 reduction.
