The floor of the Super Center PLANT Kurobe store was constructed with "Seal Hard Premium." It features a combination of good appearance, high durability, and low maintenance.

The supercenter PLANT Kurobe store (Toyama Prefecture), which opened in October 2020, has been constructed using Seal Hard Premium. Since Seal Hard has been adopted for store floors by PLANT for over 20 years due to its lower construction and maintenance costs compared to P tiles, recent stores have shifted to long sheet vinyl and P tiles for reasons such as lack of color and cleanliness. The reason Seal Hard was adopted again for the Kurobe store is due to advancements in polished concrete technology, which allows for the creation of clean-looking floors. This project was undertaken by our construction department as the main contractor, with a focus on concrete quality from the very beginning. During the pouring process, we used "Moacrite: fluidizing without adding water" and "E-CON: pouring aid" to reduce trowel marks and cracks, aiming for a uniform appearance. At the finishing stage, we performed "SSP-100: joint filling" to prevent debris accumulation and corner chipping in the joints. The PLANT Kurobe store boasts one of the highest levels of concrete flooring in commercial facilities in Japan. For 27 years, we have consistently focused on "quality." We thoroughly penetrated and reinforced the concrete with "Seal Hard." While applying the material generously increases the labor involved due to residue removal, it also enhances the "strength of the floor = quality." We were particularly pleased that the customer prioritized quality and arrived at "Seal Hard," which motivated us in our work. In the logistics center, the size and the lack of other equipment make the floor stand out. We performed careful polishing, applied "Seal Hard" to the maximum penetration limit, ensured adequate curing time, and did not forget to remove any residues. By faithfully adhering to the basics and not skimping on effort, we achieved a finish that has gloss and a sense of cleanliness, even with the standard specification. ◆Conventional Pavement Many skate parks are made with concrete surfaces, but they have not been finished to a particular standard until now. As a result, they remain vulnerable to erosion from rainwater and wear from skating. Seal Hard is a concrete surface hardener with numerous achievements in flooring for logistics facilities since 1994. It dramatically improves the abrasion resistance of concrete surfaces and transforms them into surfaces that can withstand wear from vehicles like forklifts. However, Seal Hard is weak against rainwater, and on its own, it is not suitable for outdoor use. Therefore, a specification for skate parks was developed that combines the removal of the weak surface layer through "grinding" and a water absorption suppressor, "AquaPel Plus," to resist rainwater.
