Nickel-metal hydride batteries may be considered outdated with the advent of lithium-ion batteries. However, they have advantages compared to lithium-ion batteries in terms of safety and simpler peripheral circuit configurations. In particular, for backup applications, they are optimal batteries because they allow for trickle charging. Additionally, they have advantages in terms of obtaining safety standards and air transport, making them worth considering as a main power source if size permits. The commercial alkaline battery series has been released from Faltamicrobattery. It is a series of five types of alkaline batteries.

In the European market, there are standard consumer-oriented VARTA batteries, but a new VARTA INDUSTRIAL PRO series has been released for industrial use. Compared to the consumer versions, the capacity and shelf life have been extended. The packaging design has also been revamped, and we proudly introduce this reliable Made in Germany product. Exceptional performance, long operating time, safety, and reliability are key considerations for applications. Through extensive global experience, VARTA meets the needs of our customers. Applications for extruding liquids, gels, and pastes using hydrogen gas pressure (automatic feeding, air fresheners, etc.). Applications for analytical devices utilizing high-purity hydrogen.

A button-type cell that generates hydrogen gas. It does not require an external power source and produces high-purity hydrogen. The amount of hydrogen generated is proportional to the discharge current (inversely proportional to the load resistance), and it can be used as an actuator based on hydrogen gas pressure for a wide range of temperatures, including applications for extruding liquids, gels, and pastes (such as oil dispensers), automatic feeding, air fresheners, and more. Additionally, there are expectations for future medical applications, such as drug delivery systems.
