ECAD DCX Implementation Case Study <Nihon Eidenki Co., Ltd.>

Introducing a case where transitioning from general-purpose CAD has improved drawing quality and productivity, while also reducing stress for the staff!

We will introduce the issues that were challenges at Nichei Electric Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of control panels/distribution boards, and the points and effects that were resolved through the introduction of the CAD for control design and distribution board design, 'ECAD DCX.' ■ Background of Introduction - The previous general-purpose CAD required transcription to 100 files for 100 pages, resulting in a significant amount of labor beyond design. - Although an add-on software for electrical design for general-purpose CAD was introduced, it was difficult for us to register the vast amount of component data on our own, leading to operational challenges. - Picking components from paper drawings took a full day of work and resulted in many mistakes. ■ Reasons for Adopting ECAD DCX - After hearing from other companies at a seminar that they had achieved efficiency in panel manufacturing using ECAD, we decided to introduce ECAD DCX to reduce design labor, prevent mistakes, and improve overall efficiency through production collaboration. ■ Effects After Introduction - We can now perform transcription, modifications, PDF output, and printing all at once, significantly reducing labor outside of design. - The automatic creation of various forms has greatly reduced the labor and mistakes associated with component procurement. - With user-oriented support services for implementation, we smoothly began using the system, resulting in improved drawing quality and productivity, as well as reduced stress for the staff involved.

ECAD DCX Implementation Case Study <Takashima Engineering Co., Ltd.>

We will introduce examples of business efficiency improvements from design to procurement and manufacturing, as well as adaptations to changes during times of material shortages!

At Takashima Engineering Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of control panels and power distribution panels, we will introduce the challenges faced until now and the points and effects that were resolved through the introduction of the CAD for control design and power distribution panel design, 'ECAD DCX.' ■ Background of Introduction - The drawing methods were dependent on individuals due to individual design rules, resulting in inconsistencies in the drawings. - When arranging hole-processing cabinets with Nitto Kohki's Cabista, it was necessary to create hole processing drawings again for ordering. - Since parts procurement and processing data were manually entered, there were issues with labor and input errors or incorrect orders. ■ Reasons for Adopting ECAD DCX - The collaboration with Nitto Kohki's Cabista, which is equipped in the ECAD series, supported the introduction of ECAD DCX to improve collaboration and operational efficiency from design to subsequent processes. ■ Effects After Introduction - By constructing and standardizing a parts master, know-how has been shared, accumulated, and turned into an asset. - Collaboration with Nitto Kohki's Cabista has reduced man-hours and shortened the time to order. - Since parts lists and processing data can be output from the drawings, manual input labor has been reduced, significantly minimizing incorrect orders. - Even when substituting with different parts due to material shortages, changes to related areas are automatically reflected in bulk, reducing the effort and mistakes in corrections.

ECAD DCX Implementation Case Study <Mitsuba Manufacturing Co., Ltd.>

Introducing a case where the transition from ECAD dio to ECAD DCX was completed within six months, along with the establishment of an operational system that improved productivity and reduced workload!

We will introduce the challenges faced by Mitsuba Seisakusho Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of extrusion molding machines and wire coating devices, and the points and effects that were resolved through the introduction of the control design and power distribution panel design CAD 'ECAD DCX'. ■ Background of Introduction - Designed about 150 control panels for in-house products such as rubber extruders and wire coating devices annually. - There was a need to improve the efficiency and labor-saving of design work, as well as enhance quality. - A situation arose where flexible and speedy responses to specification changes were required. ■ Reasons for Adopting ECAD DCX - Although CAD for the machines and devices in use was considered, ECAD DCX was adopted for its rich dedicated features, including the inheritance of the operability of ECAD dio, which was used in conventional electrical design, as well as actual usability, parts management functions, and integration with sheet metal processing machines. - It was determined that a rapid establishment of the design environment was necessary to improve the quality, reliability, and cost performance of in-house products, and support services for the launch were also utilized. ■ Effects After Introduction - The rich features that streamline design and prevent mistakes have improved design productivity and quality. - Standardization of drawings and reduction of maintenance man-hours have been achieved. - Various functions, such as parts list creation, have been utilized, reducing the workload of designers.

ECAD DCX Implementation Case Study <Tomi Industrial Co., Ltd.>

Reduce drawing time by 20%! By automatically outputting parts list data from drawings, we can reduce ordering mistakes, and by outputting data for sheet metal processing, we can also reduce the man-hours until processing.

With over 70 years of experience, Tomii Engineering Co., Ltd. is a manufacturer of distribution boards, currently handling cubicle-type distribution boards, control panels, distribution panels, terminal boards, and more. 【Trigger for Introducing ECAD DCX】 For 25 years, they had been using a customized general-purpose CAD, but they considered changing systems when development and support ended. The decrease in skilled technicians and the need for recovery through increased productivity were also factors. 【Deciding Factor for Introducing ECAD DCX】 Among several systems, the expectation of reducing design errors through an integrated database and the numerous implementation cases in other panel manufacturers in the same industry were the key reasons for adoption. 【Effects of Introducing ECAD DCX】 ■ By creating design procedure manuals, all designers acquired skills in a short period. ■ The quality of drawings improved due to the integrated database. ■ The establishment of a unique parts master achieved reduced man-hours, fewer mistakes, and standardization.

HK-2

Recommended for earthquake measures for automatic doors and equipment! Seismic device HK-2.

  • NEW
  • PRODUCT

Japan is one of the top 10 countries in the world with frequent earthquakes. The 2020 White Paper on Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has also reported an increase in the probability of major earthquakes occurring. Regarding the Nankai Trough earthquake, the probability of an earthquake with a magnitude of 8 to 9 occurring within the next 30 years is estimated to be 70 to 80%. At Hotron, we recommend the introduction of seismic devices for earthquake countermeasures in buildings and equipment. The seismic device 'HK-2' is a product that automatically performs various controls that have been pre-set when it detects strong shaking equivalent to a seismic intensity of 5 lower or higher. For example, it can automatically execute actions such as: "Open automatic doors and gates to secure evacuation routes and access for emergency vehicles" "Transmit signals to the control room and stop facility equipment" "Unlock the keys to locked lockers" "Automatically play voice guidance" For more details, please download the materials or contact us.

Research on rust adhesion to SPCC (rust-prone material).

Started research and development aimed at enhancing rust prevention performance.

  • NEW
  • COMPANY

Seven Corporation has begun research and development related to rust prevention, aiming to expand the functionality of the natural multifunctional aqueous solution "SEA'S 7." This research is being promoted as a collaborative study with the Industrial Technology Research Institute. In recent years, the manufacturing industry has been seeking technologies that balance environmental impact reduction and improved work safety, making rust prevention measures after cleaning a critical issue. This research includes corrosion evaluation using metal test pieces, measurement of weight changes, and durability tests in a circulating water environment, advancing the understanding of rust prevention mechanisms and performance evaluation. In the future, we aim to develop a next-generation SEA'S 7 that incorporates rust prevention functionality in addition to cleaning, disinfection, and deodorization, contributing to the efficiency of manufacturing processes and the reduction of environmental impact.
