On November 20, 2024, AVEVA Corporation, the Japanese subsidiary of AVEVA, a global leader in industrial software that promotes digital transformation (DX) and sustainability (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, VP, Japan General Manager: Masaki Kogure, hereinafter referred to as AVEVA), announced that Japan Catalyst Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, President: Kazuhiro Noda, hereinafter referred to as Japan Catalyst) has implemented the cloud-based integrated engineering solution "AVEVATM Unified Engineering1" on the CONNECT2 platform to improve the efficiency of construction design operations at its Himeji manufacturing plant.

On the 21st, the British company Aviva, which specializes in design systems for ships, held a user conference in Tokyo. Imabari Shipbuilding and Namura Shipbuilding introduced their efforts towards 3D design, demonstrating the effects of 3D implementation such as reductions in design man-hours and the challenges of adoption.
