The design fully complies with the technical standards outlined in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's explanatory document regarding measures against ceiling detachment. During the Great East Japan Earthquake, many ceilings fell, causing significant damage. Additionally, ceilings in swimming pools have frequently fallen, resulting in harm. In August 2013, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism announced Notification No. 771 concerning specific ceilings (suspended ceilings with a height of 6 meters or more, a horizontal projection area of 200 square meters or more, and a unit area mass of 2 kg/square meter or more), which will be enforced from April 2014. As a result, safe structural methods for ceilings that meet structural strength requirements will be mandated for specific ceilings. Similar requirements will also apply to existing buildings' specific ceilings during renovations. This ceiling detachment and falling prevention fail-safe net is recognized as a safe structural method for existing buildings' specific ceilings.
