Fail-safe net specifically designed for preventing ceiling falls and drop-offs for specific ceilings.
This is a dedicated net for preventing ceiling detachment and falling, designed for specific ceilings, made from flame-retardant high-strength fiber materials. The design fully complies with the technical standards outlined in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's explanatory document regarding measures against ceiling detachment. During the Great East Japan Earthquake, many ceilings fell, causing significant damage. Additionally, ceilings in swimming pools have frequently fallen, resulting in harm. In August 2013, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism announced Notification No. 771 concerning specific ceilings (suspended ceilings with a height of 6 meters or more, a horizontal projection area of 200 square meters or more, and a unit area mass of 2 kg/square meter or more), which will be enforced from April 2014. As a result, safe structural methods for ceilings that meet structural strength requirements will be mandated for specific ceilings. Similar requirements will also apply to existing buildings' specific ceilings during renovations. This ceiling detachment and falling prevention fail-safe net is recognized as a safe structural method for existing buildings' specific ceilings.

basic information
This is a fail-safe net made using flame-retardant high-strength fiber materials designed in full compliance with the technical standards for ceiling drop prevention measures set by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. In cases where the net shape is complex, the membrane structure and cable net analysis program GENATES (FEM analysis) is used to accurately evaluate the stresses generated in the net. The flame-retardant high-strength fiber used in the fail-safe net has more than four times the strength of regular polyethylene. Additionally, unlike polyethylene-based high-strength fibers, the net material itself is flame-retardant and does not burn in the atmosphere, with a melting temperature of 400°C compared to 150°C for polyethylene. Two types are available: FS840 (Φ1.31mm, 40mm mesh) and FS1440 (Φ1.94mm, 40mm mesh). The maximum size of a single net can reach W3.8m and L100m without any overlapping joints. The Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI), which evaluates flame retardancy, is 28, meaning it does not burn in the atmosphere (the volume fraction of oxygen in the atmosphere is 16%, so an LOI of 16 or lower would burn in the atmosphere). The net is inherently flame-retardant, not just a flame-retardant product due to surface treatment, and it meets the performance testing standards for flame-retardant products.
