We conducted an experiment on how completely dried wood is affected by the ventilation conditions under the floor in a test house. Initially, the moisture content rises as it absorbs moisture from under the floor, but in the case of having a "subfloor ventilation fan" installed, the moisture content of the posts stabilizes at around 20%, as shown in the graph in the image. Foundation insulation is a method of insulating the foundation that faces the outside air. The period when the risk of condensation and mold is highest with foundation insulation is from June to September of the first year after completion. The main cause is the large amount of water vapor coming from the concrete floor. Especially, wood that contains a lot of moisture significantly deteriorates in strength, so it is important to be cautious considering durability against earthquakes and typhoons. As a solution to these humidity problems, our company has developed a dedicated underfloor dehumidifier called "Dry Pro." It effectively eliminates humidity and condensation, and is useful for preventing mold, pests, and decay fungi in the underfloor wooden components. "Dry Pro" is a floor underfloor dehumidifying fan that effectively eliminates moisture and condensation, and is effective against mold, pests, and decay fungi in the wooden parts under the floor. Assuming the early stages of new construction using foundation insulation methods, 36 liters of water were sprayed on the underfloor foundation of each building, and dried wood (cedar) was installed to measure the moisture content of the wood and the humidity under the floor. As a result, the buildings where this product was installed gradually dried out by repeatedly operating the dehumidification process every day, and after about two months, an average of approximately 70% RH dry condition was confirmed even outside of dehumidification operation hours. The "DRY PRO" Ver3 is an electronic dehumidifying and ventilation unit for underfloor use, combining a Peltier cooling device with a dedicated stirring and diffusion-type blower. In addition to the diffusion-type model "TYPE-D" for foundation insulation methods, a new model "TYPE-C" compatible with foundation packing methods has been added to the lineup. It can dehumidify even in areas where moisture tends to accumulate by stirring a wide range of air. - The following modes can be selected: A (exhaust) mode, A (exhaust) mode & B (mixing & diffusion) mode, timer mode, and stop mode. - When using the hybrid sensor, the operation is based on changes in water vapor content (measuring relative humidity and temperature to calculate absolute humidity) in timer mode. If the water vapor content is below the set value, it operates in A (exhaust) and B (mixing & diffusion) modes; if it is above the set value, it operates in B (mixing & diffusion) mode. * Moist air from outside is not allowed to enter under the floor. When "HB" is lit on the display, it indicates hybrid operation, and a special mode with phytoncide for efficient operation of the phytoncide effect can also be set. * A buzzer notification function has been added (during the 5/10 year inspection period or when the optional underfloor leak sensor or abnormal detection ventilation system is in operation). * If you desire a stronger effect (operation) from the exhaust fan during the summer or if there is a lot of moisture under the floor, please change the sensor sensitivity level setting to "H04," "H05," or "H00."
