The company founded by British trader Albert Richard Brown (A.R. Brown) in Yokohama is its origin. A.R. Brown brought the training ship "Meiji Maru," which is currently displayed at Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, from Britain during the Meiji era and participated in the establishment of the university's predecessor, the College of Shipping, contributing to the foundation of the Imperial Japanese Navy. He also worked hard to promote lighthouses in Japan and served as the first manager of Nippon Yusen. It was A.R. Brown who first sold a television to the Emperor. After going through history, it has now become a purely domestic company, but it has inherited A.R. Brown's spirit and has developed into a scientific and technological trading company where specialized salespeople sell new and unique quality products.
