The "IDMS-200 RUS" is a method in ultrasonic spectroscopy for determining elastic constants from the resonance frequencies of the free vibrations of solids, and in principle, it can determine all independent elastic constants. The USB2.0 interface allows for easy and fast data collection. A three-point support piezoelectric sensor is used for measuring the resonance frequency. This three-point support sensor does not require an acoustic coupling material, and since no external forces other than the sample's own weight act on it, it is possible to excite nearly perfect free vibrations. The IDMS-200 is a device based on the concept developed by the Hirao Laboratory of the Graduate School of Engineering Science at Osaka University. <Patent No. 4065937> *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe PDL laser ultrasonic light source is a high-frequency stable, no initial setup required laser source designed for non-contact ultrasonic inspection. It uses the MOPA (Master Oscillator Pulsed Amplifier) method to amplify a low-output, high-stability seed laser to provide high output. Additionally, PDL's robust flash amplifier technology can be used in any environment, from laboratories to harsh factory settings. In laser ultrasonics, information is "encoded" in the laser beam reflected from the surface of the inspection object. To achieve optimal sensitivity with a laser ultrasonic detector, it is desirable to maximize the reference light to the test specimen. Typically, commercial CW lasers can ensure frequency stability only up to 2W. In a scattering state, this output does not provide sufficient S/N. PDL was designed to overcome such issues. The laser can be supplied through optical fibers up to 40m, allowing for flexible adaptation to industrial prototypes and commercial inspection systems. For more details, please contact us or refer to the catalog.

Free membership registrationThe RPR-4000 ultrasonic physical property measurement device, manufactured by RITEC, supports ultrasonic nonlinear research with a high-performance, high-output ultrasonic pulser-receiver designed to minimize the nonlinear components contained in the transmitted waveform. The sine wave tone burst pulser used by RITEC supplies low-distortion, high-output signals to the sensor that cannot be obtained with square wave pulsers. The standard 8KW sine wave tone burst pulser can sufficiently drive electromagnetic ultrasonic transducers (EMAT). Additionally, the 100dB low-noise receiver amplifies the weak ultrasonic signals received by the EMAT to the required level with low distortion. RITEC's high-power products come standard with an automatic shutdown feature, which protects the transmitter from failures in the transducer or short circuits in the wiring. The front panel display and keypad eliminate the need for an external control computer (though control from an external computer via RS-232 interface is also possible). For more details, please contact us or refer to the catalog.

Free membership registrationThe RAM-5000 series manufactured by RITEC is a computer-controlled ultrasonic material property evaluation research system equipped with a high-power RF burst pulser, a wideband receiver, and a phase detector/integrator module. It is optimal for precise measurement of ultrasonic sound speed and attenuation in high-damping materials, research on nonlinear acoustic phenomena, multi-channel high-power RF burst pulse sources, or as a driver/receiver for low conversion efficiency transducers such as EMATs (Electromagnetic Acoustic Transducers). The RAM-5000 features a modular system configuration, allowing users to select the necessary module configuration from the Mark1 to Mark6 series. For example, multiple gated amplifier modules with high power pulse output can be selected to enable multi-channel drive. Additionally, a manually controlled or standalone gated amplifier system (equivalent to RAM-Mark2: 5kW output) is also available. A SNAP system developed specifically for research on nonlinear acoustic phenomena is also offered. For more details, please contact us or refer to the catalog.
