Connecting Factory Equipment and IT—PC Software Development with PLC Integration

Cat Tail Ltd. develops PC software for factory automation, connecting production equipment with IT systems. For more than 20 years, we have developed Windows applications that integrate PLCs, RFID, barcodes, and databases. Our solutions support machine operation and monitoring, measurement and data collection, production and process management, automated sorting, and asset lending and return management. We work with equipment manufacturers and system integrators as an outsourced PC software development partner. We also accept direct requests from factories and other facility operators. Our services cover requirements definition, system design, software development, connectivity testing, onsite installation, and maintenance. Our automated sorting and uniform management systems for commercial laundries and hotels are operating at 88 sites—82 in Japan and six overseas. We have also developed weighing systems for metal processing plants, production management systems for fertilizer plants, and measurement applications for a glass manufacturer’s research facility. We also support modifications to existing systems, Windows PC replacement, analysis and maintenance of legacy VB6 applications, and phased migration to VB.NET. Remote support and onsite service throughout Japan are available.
