Yamanishi Corporation is a company that engages in the construction and repair of commercial vessels, including domestic and international fishing boats, cargo ships, government vessels, and car ferries, as a top-class shipyard in the Tohoku region. Currently, it owns new construction docks of 16,000 G/T and 1,200 G/T, as well as a repair dock of 18,000 G/T and repair slipways of 1,000 G/T, 500 G/T, and 300 G/T. Additionally, the land-based division, established in 1978, is primarily focused on the manufacturing of steel structures and is also working to develop new customers.
