We would like to introduce a case study on the development of a new wood-based material suitable for wood decks and verandas, which integrates local materials such as cedar and cypress with unused resource oil palm trunks. Due to the lack of wood that can be used outdoors for long periods and the depletion of natural wood, we considered development. We aimed for the compression molding of wood and unused resource oil palm trunks. This material can suppress the summer surface temperature rise by more than 15 degrees compared to artificial wood WPC. 【Case Overview】 ■ Background: Lack of wood that can be used outdoors for long periods; depletion of natural wood ■ Solution: Compression molding of wood and unused resource oil palm trunks ■ Effect: Suppresses the summer surface temperature rise by more than 15 degrees compared to artificial wood WPC *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationIn Higashimorokata District, Miyazaki Prefecture, we would like to introduce a construction case that utilizes the same technology as the OPT at Ayateruha Dome. Unlike using 100% cedar, not only does it increase wear resistance, but it also allows for cost reductions of up to 50% compared to using solid cedar wood. With the increased strength, it can adequately support sports that put a load on the floor, such as wheelchair basketball. 【Case Overview】 ■ Construction Site: Ayateruha Dome ■ Construction Details: Use of compressed cedar material on the surface of OPT laminated material ■ Effects - Surface has the texture of cedar - Increased wear resistance - Cost reduced by up to 50% *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a construction case that utilizes the same technology as the OPT at the Fukue Library in Hioki City, Kagoshima Prefecture. By using compressed cedar material on the surface of OPT laminated wood, the surface showcases the texture of cedar while achieving three times the wear resistance. Unlike using 100% cedar, this method not only increases wear strength but also reduces costs by up to half compared to using solid cedar wood. 【Case Overview】 ■ Location: Fukue Library ■ Construction Details: Use of compressed cedar material on the surface of OPT laminated wood ■ Effects: - Surface has the texture of cedar - Wear resistance is three times greater - Costs reduced by up to half *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a construction case that utilizes technology similar to OPT at the Toyota City Hall in Aichi Prefecture. By using compressed cedar material on the surface of OPT laminated wood, the surface exhibits the texture of cedar. Unlike using 100% cedar, this method not only increases wear resistance strength by three times but also reduces costs by up to half compared to using solid cedar wood. 【Case Overview】 ■ Location: Toyota City Hall ■ Construction Details: Using compressed cedar material on the surface of OPT laminated wood ■ Effects - Surface has the texture of cedar - Wear resistance strength increased by three times - Costs reduced by up to half compared to using solid cedar wood *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registration"Nan Ken Material (biolami)" is a wood-based material that combines natural wood such as cedar and cypress with the trunk of oil palm (OPT) through a unified molding process. It has high durability and water resistance, making it suitable for outdoor use and in places where natural wood is difficult to use. Custom production can be done at a reduced cost, and it can flexibly respond to various applications and required functions, such as changes in specific gravity and natural wood types. You can download materials including the property table from the link below. Please feel free to contact us or download it. 【Features】 ■ Prototype models have been continuously used outdoors for 6 years ■ Can utilize cedar that has passed its harvesting period ■ Contributes to reducing environmental impact ■ Utilizes technologies developed in collaboration with companies and universities

Free membership registrationPalmholtz Co., Ltd. is a company that possesses new technologies and patents to transform oil palm trunks (Oil Palm Trunk = OPT), which have been treated as unused resources due to their lack of strength and value as building materials, into high-value wood-based products. 【What is Oil Palm?】 Oil palm is a type of palm tree that has been extensively planted as a national policy in countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Colombia, and is well-known as a plant from which palm oil can be extracted. We have gathered experts from "Mywood Co., Ltd.," a research company funded by a government agency that was the predecessor of Palmholtz, who were engaged in research on the densification technology of cedar, as well as joint development partners, to form TEAM Palmholtz. As a result of 18 years of extensive research, we have acquired numerous patents and know-how related to OPT and established the densification technology for OPT. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationBy using compressed Hinoki wood on the surface of OPT laminated material, the surface has the texture of Hinoki. Since OPT and Hinoki are integrally molded, it exudes the luxurious feel of solid Hinoki boards. Installed as a bridge in the garden of a ryokan and in indoor washbasins. Although it is the most challenging environment for wood, being a bridge over an outdoor pond, it has been utilized without any issues for five years. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationPalmholtz Co., Ltd. is a company that holds many new technologies and patents for transforming oil palm trunks (Oil Palm Trunk = OPT), which have been treated as unused resources due to their lack of strength and value as building materials, into wood-based products. This technology was originally developed as a densification technique aimed at the utilization of cedar, which was widely planted in Japan after World War II and faced issues due to the lack of post-harvest utilization. By compressing cedar, which could not be used for flooring due to strength issues such as wear resistance, we were able to double or triple its wear resistance strength, making it possible to use it for flooring. This technology was researched and developed by our predecessor company, Mywood Two Co., Ltd., which obtained the patent. We will convey the manufacturing know-how necessary for processing wood-based products in Malaysia, which has the second-largest area of oil palm plantations in the world and was once an exporter of natural timber, and support the commercialization of transforming the unused resource of OPT into a valuable resource. Additionally, we will conduct matching services with companies that wish to handle wood-based products and exterior products manufactured in Malaysia as materials for building materials and furniture.

Free membership registrationOur company is engaged in a support project for the utilization of OPT (Oil Palm Trunk). OPT has been transformed from an underutilized resource into a valuable resource through the processing of wood-based products. Wood-based products can be used as materials for construction, furniture, and exterior products. While self-adhesion alone does not provide sufficient adhesive strength for outdoor use, we have developed wood-based exterior products that can withstand outdoor conditions by adding agents derived from natural sources and applying compression processing. 【Methods of Utilizing OPT】 ■ Utilization as wood-based products ■ Utilization as vascular bundles ■ Utilization as soft tissue *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
