Gaia Vision is a venture company founded in 2021, specializing in climate science, originating from the University of Tokyo. We provide the climate physical risk analysis application Climate Vision, utilizing high-precision flood simulation technology and climate big data analysis technology derived from research results at the University of Tokyo's Institute of Industrial Science. We quantitatively assess the physical risks of climate change for businesses, financial institutions, and local governments, contributing to the improvement of sustainability and resilience for companies and society. Business Activities
■Climate Risk Analysis Platform This is a web application that thoroughly analyzes climate risks such as floods. By registering location information, it can analyze the current and future risks for each site. It also has a financial impact assessment feature, enabling climate scenario analysis for information disclosure compliance. - Information disclosure/risk management consulting services (TCFD/CDP/ISSB, etc.) Based on knowledge of climate science, hydrology, and sustainability, it supports understanding of climate risks and the creation of external disclosure reports, as well as internal consensus building. ■Real-time Flood Forecasting Solution This solution allows for real-time flood forecasts up to 36 hours in advance. It can predict not only river conditions but also inundation areas and depths with high resolution. It can be utilized for evacuation decision-making by municipalities and for business continuity planning (BCP) responses by companies (employee evacuation and asset preservation). ■Disaster Prevention Effect Simulation It can simulate the flood damage reduction effects of implementing flood control measures such as levees and dams. Taking into account the impacts of climate change, it can be used when considering appropriate flood control plans.
