"SBP201" is a soft biodegradable film made from the biodegradable resin "Mater-Bi" by Novamont S.p.A (Italy). "Mater-Bi" is a compound made from thermoplastic starch and PBAT (polybutylene adipate/terephthalate), which is hydrolyzed to lower molecular weight and then decomposed by microorganisms into water and carbon dioxide. It has a rich track record of use, primarily in Europe, with world-class production capacity.
