In the case of a global food manufacturer, the high-rise racks on-site are over 6000mm tall, with an aisle width of 3200mm, and the actual pallet load weight is approximately 1200KG. Not only does an unmanned forklift safely and efficiently store cargo in high beam racks, but it also ensures a cargo clearance of 100mm within the racks. In the case of a major automotive parts manufacturing company, the actual pallet weight is about 350KG, the rack height exceeds 10m, and the highest beam is approximately 8055mm from the ground. The unmanned forklift lifts over 8m to achieve storage operations in the racks. Free membership registrationWhen our company entered the food industry, we would like to introduce how we overcame difficult situations and accelerated the upgrade to smart logistics. We implemented a project in a food warehouse in southern China. The bottom width of the drive-in rack in the warehouse was 1340mm, so we chose a reach-type unmanned forklift to navigate within the narrow racks and conducted cargo storage operations in accordance with the first-in, first-out rule using the drive-in racks. In a project with a global food processing company, we utilized the sensing capabilities of the unmanned forklift to detect the height of the cargo while lifting the forks, allowing for stacking and unstacking of the cargo. We equipped the floor storage warehouse with Bright Eyes to monitor the location conditions and the loading and unloading of cargo, identifying people, vehicles, and cargo entering and exiting the warehouse, and issuing alerts for safety risks. The user focused on smart manufacturing and envisioned creating a proof-of-concept factory for smart and sophisticated management through digital means. Together with the user, we transformed and improved the factory logistics through workshops, achieving flexible production management with precise insertion of various steel pallets, coordination aligned with the production line, integration with inbound and outbound management, and efficient and accurate material handling.
