It is a sintered product mainly composed of neodymium (Nd), iron (Fe), and boron (B), and it has the highest magnetic energy among current magnets. Due to its tendency to oxidize, surface treatment is generally necessary depending on the application and usage environment. Neodymium magnets are the strongest among magnets. The change in magnetic force with temperature is relatively large, so appropriate selection of shape and grade is necessary for high-temperature use.

It is a molded sintered product primarily composed of samarium and cobalt, available in two material types: 1-5 series (SmCo5) and 2-17 series (Sm2Co17). It possesses very strong magnetic force, second only to neodymium, and has heat resistance. However, due to its brittleness, care must be taken to avoid chipping and cracking during handling. Additionally, it is resistant to rust, so surface treatment is not necessary, but surface treatments such as plating can be applied to prevent chipping. Compared to neodymium magnets, the magnetic force is slightly reduced (about 1/4 lower), but it is still a very powerful magnet. The change in magnetic force with temperature is relatively small, making it suitable for applications that require temperature stability and high-temperature use.

It is a metal magnet with high residual magnetic flux density, primarily composed of aluminum (Al), nickel (Ni), cobalt (Co), and iron (Fe), manufactured through casting. It has excellent mechanical strength, being resistant to high temperatures and less prone to cracking. However, it has the drawback of being easily demagnetized. The magnetic force is about 1/5 to 1/10 that of neodymium magnets. It is also resistant to rust in its raw magnetic material form, so surface treatments like plating are usually unnecessary. The temperature change rate of the magnetic force (rate of temperature decrease) is excellent, making it suitable for high-temperature applications. It has few cracks or chips, and its mechanical strength is the best. However, it is susceptible to a decrease in magnetic force due to impact, so care is needed in handling and usage.
