Bfull Co., Ltd. (CEO: Naoto Maeda, Location: Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture), a professional in the production and operation of light-curing 3D printers, has successfully developed resin inserts manufactured with a light-curing 3D printer. This technology is planned to be utilized for the production of in-house products, prototype manufacturing, and small-lot contract production services by 2022. This technology utilizes existing mold bases used in injection molding to manufacture inserts (cores) with a 3D printer. By creating molds that conform to the size of existing mold bases with a 3D printer, it reduces the costs associated with traditional metal molds and aluminum molds, enabling molding with the same materials as the final products (such as polypropylene and ABS). It can be used for purposes other than shape verification and for final confirmation before the production of mass-production molds. Bfull will continue to develop resin inserts made with 3D printers that can output larger sizes, more complex shapes, and various materials, so they can be used across a wide range of manufacturing industries, from automotive parts to everyday goods.
