The 21st Pumping Technology Research Meeting will be held at the Umeda Campus of Osaka Institute of Technology. While "neka-shi-uchi" (horizontal pouring) is the standard in Japan, we will conduct experiments on "tsuri-uchi" (suspended pouring), which is common overseas, to confirm the details. The theme will be how the suspended pouring method can solve on-site challenges in concrete pumping, with a detailed explanation of the latest research results, incorporating data from the 2024 field experiments. This will be a valuable opportunity to gain insights into overcoming challenges faced by the construction industry, such as labor shortages, harsh working environments, and irregular reinforcement. We welcome participation from government officials, general contractors, pumping companies, and construction industry stakeholders who are interested in efforts to improve the efficiency and safety of concrete pumping. *If you would like to participate, please apply through the related link or contact us via the inquiry button. 【Event Overview (Partial)】 ■ Date: February 21, 2025 (Friday) 13:30 - 17:00 ■ Location: OIT Umeda Tower, 3rd Floor, Joso Hall, Osaka Institute of Technology, 1-45 Chayamachi, Kita-ku, Osaka 530-0013 ■ Participation Fee: 3,000 yen (including research meeting materials)

Free membership registrationThe 20th Pumping Technology Research Meeting will be held at "Osaka Institute of Technology Umeda Campus" (simultaneous web streaming). The forward mortar used with concrete pumps has recently seen the development of alternative materials that are being used on-site. A "Testing Methods for Forward Materials JIS Establishment Committee" has been formed, and in response to a request for cooperation from this committee, the 17th Field Experiment (2023) was conducted to qualitatively understand the appropriate usage of various forward materials, the properties of concrete, and the relationship with the amount that should be disposed of through pumping experiments. In this Pumping Technology Research Meeting, we will report on the results of this series of research. [Event Overview (Partial)] ■ Date and Time: March 6, 2024 (Wednesday) 13:00 - 17:00 ■ Location ・[1] Osaka Institute of Technology Umeda Campus OIT Umeda Tower 3F Joso Hall 1-45 Chayamachi, Kita-ku, Osaka 530-0013 ・[2] Web simultaneous streaming (video will be available for viewing for about one week after the meeting) ■ Participation Fee: [1] Joso Hall [2] Web both 3,000 yen (includes research meeting materials) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe released the "Pump Pressure Evaluation Software (2022 Edition)" on March 22, 2023. The new software has made the following changes to enhance convenience: 1) Expanded the selection of pump models to 240 types. 2) Added the display of "Input Piping Conditions" in the pressure delivery consideration document. When planning concrete pumping, it is essential for stakeholders such as general contractors, pumping contractors, and concrete manufacturers to engage in thorough discussions. This software can be used as a common tool for those discussions. It was created by the Materials and Construction Committee of the Kansai Branch of the Architectural Institute of Japan and our cooperative association to enable anyone to easily plan concrete pumping! We encourage you to take this opportunity to incorporate and utilize the software. 【Overview】 ■ Supervised by: The Architectural Institute of Japan, Kansai Branch, Materials and Construction Committee ■ Published by: Kansai Ready-Mixed Concrete Pumping Cooperative Association *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe 19th Pumping Technology Research Meeting will be held at "Osaka Institute of Technology Umeda Campus" (simultaneous web streaming). In this experiment, we conducted actual pumping using several commercially available types of retarders instead of the usual retarder mortar, and examined the characteristics of their usage, the risk of blockage, and the impact of the retarding materials on the properties of concrete (amount of waste from the nozzle), among other considerations. We sincerely request your attendance, as you are passionate about quality and technology. 【Event Overview (Partial)】 ■ Date and Time: February 21, 2023 (Tuesday) 13:00 - 17:00 ■ Location: ・[1] Osaka Institute of Technology Umeda Campus OIT Umeda Tower 3F Joso Hall 1-45 Chayamachi, Kita-ku, Osaka 530-0013 ・[2] Simultaneous web streaming (video will be available for viewing approximately one week after the meeting) ■ Participation Fee: [1] Joso Hall [2] Web both 3,000 yen (includes research meeting materials) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe concrete pumping construction industry is a specialized construction trade that involves pumping fresh concrete into designated formwork using a concrete pump truck. In concrete pumping, advanced skills and knowledge are required to pour fresh concrete according to design specifications at various job sites. Here, we will explain a day in the life of a concrete pumping worker.

Free membership registrationSince 2000, our company has been involved in over 300 concrete pumping projects for super high-rise buildings exceeding 60 meters in height. In high-rise and high-altitude pumping, we generally use vertical piping for the pumping work instead of using a boom. To transport high-strength concrete to "high places," we need to work under "ultra-high pressure," which results in significant back pressure due to the weight of the fresh concrete near the ground. With extensive experience on many sites and specialized knowledge based on that experience, our company proposes methods to mitigate back pressure as much as possible while working on concrete pumping projects that minimize the risk of pipe bursts and damage to concrete pump trucks due to ultra-high pressure. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationThe Pumping Technology Research Conference, which started in 2004, will be held for the 18th time this year at the Osaka Institute of Technology, Joto Hall, Umeda Campus, continuing from last year. Until now, the focus of field experiments has been on piston pumps, but this time we will be using squeeze pumps to examine the pumpability of concrete, which is generally handled, and to compare the results obtained with piston pumps. Squeeze pump trucks are suitable for small to medium-sized construction projects and have advantages such as reducing leftover concrete, making them suitable for waste reduction and environmental considerations. Based on this experiment, we plan to re-evaluate the internal pressure loss (K value) and suction efficiency of squeeze pump trucks and reflect this in the pumpability evaluation software. *For more details, please download the PDF or apply through the related links.

Free membership registrationIn our organization's Safety Technology Committee, we have been working on creating effective educational materials for safety training for workers engaged in the field. The creation of video educational materials is a pioneering effort nationwide, and we hope that they will be utilized not only for training new employees but also by veterans to help prevent accidents. Additionally, the content of this DVD has been adopted as visual materials in the "Construction Skills Training Program (Ken-Tore)" created by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. We are providing this DVD free of charge to construction-related individuals, relevant administrative agencies, and concrete pumping businesses nationwide, to help them understand the current state of safety education in concrete pumping and to inform those considering entering the industry about the nature of the work.
