Free membership registrationBenefits of Drone-Based Obstruction Tree Surveys Until now, the prediction of obstruction trees relied on the experience and intuition of skilled technicians, leading to tree felling. However, due to the lack of improved communication conditions, it has been difficult to select and fell trees appropriately. By conducting efficient surveys with drones and creating 3D models from the obtained photographic data, it is possible to identify obstruction trees on a one-by-one basis by overlaying this data with visualized microwave propagation paths. Furthermore, by simulating tree growth in 3D, it is possible to identify trees that will obstruct signals in the future on a one-by-one basis. As a result of drone-based obstruction tree surveys, identifying obstructive trees has eliminated the need for extensive felling, allowing for consideration of environmental impacts and achieving cost benefits of up to 50%.
