Asahi Kiki Service Co., Ltd. has established a new logistics base, the Yokohama Kohoku Sales Office, in Tsuzuki Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The new office is located in a prime area, approximately one minute from the Kohoku Interchange on the Third Keihin Road, which has significantly improved accessibility due to the opening of the Yokohama Kohoku JCT. The Kanagawa Route 7 Yokohama Northwest Line of the Metropolitan Expressway, which opened fully in March 2020, connects the Third Keihin Road with the Tomei Expressway, providing high convenience not only to the city center and the entire Kanto region but also to all of Eastern Japan, as well as to the Tokai and Kansai regions. Taking advantage of this advantageous location, we plan to work on direct delivery of small-lot cargo limited to the region this term. By introducing a Warehouse Management System (WMS), we are actively working towards the realization of "smart logistics" through automation and labor-saving measures in logistics operations, reducing labor burdens, improving work efficiency, and considering the environment.
