Proposal for eco-friendly and body-friendly infill materials for artificial turf: Geofill, BioGround, and Bio-Sand.

RISE Corporation has been the exclusive distributor in Asia since 2011 under a contract with Italgreen S.p.A (including the later independent company Ital.Project S.r.L specializing in infill materials), and has been involved in the sales and construction management of Italgreen and Italproject products. The world's first artificial turf infill material made from natural materials, Geofill, developed in Italy in 2004, not only eliminated all the shortcomings of the previously mainstream rubber chip infill but also addressed many environmental issues. In particular, it has made it possible to suppress the rise in surface temperature that was a concern with conventional artificial turf, helping to prevent burns and injuries to athletes and contributing to the fight against global warming. Furthermore, there are no worries about volatile gases emitted from infill materials that are problematic worldwide, allowing for safe use in environments where young children and animals come into direct contact. Starting with a European patent, it has obtained international and Japanese patents and is currently used in 46 countries around the world. In 2021, domestic production of Geofill, Bioground, and Biosand will begin. We will continue to work towards providing products that can be used safely by many people.
