◆DC-UPS with Capacitor Storage & Buffer Module The DC-UPS with built-in supercapacitors is completely maintenance-free and avoids power outages measured in seconds. The buffer module with electrolytic capacitors operates similarly to the DC-UPS, avoiding power outages measured in milliseconds at 24V or 48V. In buffer mode, the output voltage stabilizes and switches from normal mode to buffer mode without interruption. It protects all modules from overloads and short circuits and accommodates a wide temperature range. Regular maintenance or replacement of the capacitors is not required. ◆DC-UPS with Battery To install a DC-UPS system, three elements are essential: power supply, DC-UPS, and battery. The DC-UPS monitors and charges the battery, controlling the seamless transition between normal mode and buffer mode. ◆Battery Module for DC-UPS The battery module can be ordered with a battery (UZK) or without a battery (UZO). Both of Puls's battery modules adopt a one-battery concept.

The PISA series protection module distributes the current from a large power supply across multiple low-current output channels, allowing for the use of thin wires. Additionally, it ensures that the unit's input voltage (corresponding to the power supply's output voltage) typically does not fall below 21V by limiting the output to a restricted current. Therefore, if high-sensitivity devices such as PLCs, controls, and sensors are directly connected to the same power supply as the PISA protection module, a stable supply voltage can be maintained. Loads that are not as critical (which are not affected by short-term voltage interruptions but could potentially cause a failure of the 24V power supply) are connected to one of the four current-controlled output channels built into the PISA module. It provides protection regardless of the length of the wire or the characteristics of the power supply.

◆High-Efficiency Decoupling ◇Redundant Module Utilizing MOSFET Technology Plus has developed a decoupling solution incorporating MOSFET technology to meet the need for minimizing no-load losses. For example, using a MOSFET module, the power loss at a load current of 40A is within 3W. By using MOSFETs as decoupling elements, voltage drop can also be minimized. The voltage drop at an output current of 40A is less than 50mV between input and output. Implementing MOSFETs improves thermal balance even in parallel mode, extending the lifespan of the power supply.
