The "Collision Warning and Stopping System for Railways and Trams" consists of a multi-purpose camera, radar sensors, and a control unit. It monitors the tracks ahead, as well as vehicles and pedestrians, sharing this information in real-time with the radar. The object information from the video camera and radar sensors is integrated into a comprehensive view of the surrounding environment. This system identifies the risk of collision by utilizing this information while taking vehicle speed into account.
