We would like to introduce a case where we stopped water leakage inside a box culvert due to a large amount of water contained in the embankment during a river improvement project in Okinawa Prefecture. After injecting "Sanmatera Aqua" and "Sanmatera Aqua EX" into the cracks, we applied ultra-fine particle cement (water + special resin mixture) and, after drying, removed the excess material using a grinder or similar tool. "Sanmatera Aqua EX" is a super-fine particle impregnation concrete modification waterproofing agent that stops leaks with a powerful void-filling effect through the pozzolanic reaction. The main component, a specially formulated ultra-fine silicate, deeply penetrates the concrete and chemically reacts with unhydrated calcium hydroxide to produce insoluble and viscous C-S-H gel, which fills the capillary voids within the concrete and densifies it. "San Materra Aqua" is a coating-type modification and reinforcement agent aimed at the modification and maintenance improvement of existing concrete. It modifies the concrete to make it denser, sealing the gaps that serve as pathways for the intrusion of deteriorating substances, while simultaneously reacting with the water-soluble alkali substances present within the concrete to stabilize it, thereby suppressing alkali-silica reactions caused by reactive aggregates.
