"Gas pressure welding" involves butting the ends of rebars together, applying pressure in the axial direction while heating the joint area with an oxygen-acetylene flame, bringing it to a red-hot state without melting the joining surfaces, allowing the clean metal surfaces to adhere closely and fuse the atoms together for joining.
