Recently, I completed my presentation at the interim report meeting for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's "Decarbonization Support Project in the Supply Chain for the Creation of a Green Product Market" (held on May 20). I would like to thank the over 200 attendees, including those who joined online, for their participation. This project involves the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) providing expert support to companies selected for their efforts in decarbonization by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. In the presentation, I introduced specific initiatives on how to enhance CO2 reduction across the entire supply chain, using the CFP calculation results of our plastic formwork "Daiko Panel" and its auxiliary materials as a reference. We bring you the latest information on the plastic formwork "Daisho Panel," which addresses decarbonization and labor shortages in the construction industry. ■Features of Daisho Panel 1. Made of polypropylene, it can be reused over 50 times, with durability about 10 times that of plywood. 2. A circular material that does not use forest resources and does not create waste disposal issues. 3. Lightweight and rib-processed, making it easy to handle for foreign workers and those with less experience. 4. Certified as "Green Purchasing Law compliant," "NETIS registered," and "Eco Mark certified." ■Purpose of Obtaining EPD We plan to obtain EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) in February. By objectively visualizing environmental performance, we will strongly support general contractors in their efforts to reduce Scope 3 (supply chain emissions). As an alternative material to plywood formwork, we can provide high environmental performance. We are currently receiving numerous inquiries about considering it as the standard construction method for the next fiscal year, pending data acquisition in February. Along with the completion of the acquisition, we also accept requests for individual CO2 reduction simulations.
