The number of environmental regulatory substances for soil and groundwater in Japan is small, and among them, the regulation of substances derived from petroleum products is extremely limited. Not only in Asian countries but also in other countries overseas, substances derived from petroleum products are regulated, and TPH (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons) is naturally included, along with standards set for BTEX (Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Xylene) and PAHs (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons). However, in Japan, although oil contamination countermeasure guidelines have been established, they primarily address issues related to oil odor and oil film, and there are no established standards for TPH or PAHs. (Benzene is regulated under the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act, but Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylene are not included.) On our website, we introduce examples of PAHs decomposition tests using the composite microbial agent 'Oppenheimer FormulaTM'. [Test Examples] ■ Decomposition test of PAHs contained in diesel oil ■ PAHs decomposition tests using various microbial agents *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThere are animal fats, vegetable oils, and mineral oils, but generally, "oil-related soil and groundwater contamination" refers to pollution caused by petroleum products primarily composed of petroleum-based hydrocarbons (mineral oils). Additionally, there are various methods for purifying (treating) oil contamination, such as thermal treatment and chemical treatment, but most methods, excluding bioremediation, require secondary waste treatment. Furthermore, the installation and operation of plants require relatively high input energy, and they can alter the properties of soil and groundwater to strongly acidic or strongly alkaline conditions, resulting in high costs and environmental burdens. **Features of Bioremediation** - Utilizes the activity of microorganisms - Requires little input energy - Ultimately breaks down oil into water and carbon dioxide - Does not require secondary waste treatment, resulting in lower costs and environmental impact *For more details, please feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationAt Bio Rangers, we use a complex microbial formulation (microbial consortium) to address a wide variety of pollutants. Volatile organic chlorinated compounds (VOCs) are considered difficult to dechlorinate to ethylene using anaerobic dechlorinating microorganisms. Our complex microbial formulation "Oppenheimer TCE Formula" has been shown through previous experimental results to be more similar to oxidation reactions under (micro)aerobic conditions, unlike reactions under anaerobic conditions. [Test Cases] ■ Trichloroethylene simulated contaminated water decomposition test ■ Demonstration test of trichloroethylene contaminated groundwater in a certain location in N Prefecture *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe "Tritability Test (Bio-Treatment Compatibility Test)" is, as the name suggests, a test to determine the compatibility of microbial purification. In our company, to address a wide variety of contaminants, we recommend the use of the composite bio-preparation "Oppenheimer Formula™" (microbial consortium) and the implementation of the Tritability Test before soil and groundwater contamination remediation measures. The test uses soil and groundwater samples collected from the actual site to confirm the presence or absence of growth inhibition against the microorganisms in the target soil, groundwater, or substances. By using a composite bio-preparation whose effectiveness has already been confirmed, it is possible to make determinations in a short period and at a low cost (from the start of the test to reporting takes about 2 weeks). [Test Samples] ■ Soil and groundwater collected from the actual site *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationIn recent years, in Okinawa, soil contamination due to oil and other substances has become apparent alongside the return of U.S. military bases, leading to a serious problem. In Okinawa, the main method for addressing oil contamination is treatment through lime mixing; however, this raises concerns as it alters the properties of the soil. There is growing interest in the effectiveness of bioremediation and its applicability. In response, our company conducted a treatability test (biotreatment suitability test) using Okinawan soil. 【Target Soils】 ■ High-concentration oil-contaminated soil (Kunigami Marge) ■ Medium-concentration oil-contaminated soil (Jagaru) *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationBio Rangers conducts thorough investigations and consultations for each contamination site and proposes effective purification methods. For example, if the contaminants are located relatively shallow, we implement the "in-situ mixing method," where a water solution mixed with bio-preparations and nutrients is sprayed onto the contaminated soil and stirred with equipment like a backhoe. Additionally, there are various methods such as the "in-situ injection method," which purifies without excavating the contaminated soil, and the "land farming method," where excavated contaminated soil is moved to a designated location and stirred while adding and mixing bio-preparations and nutrients. 【Purification Methods】 ■ On-site Purification - In-situ Mixing Method - In-situ Injection Method - Groundwater Purification *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThis formulation is a dry powder that contains a high concentration of complex microorganisms extracted from nature. These complex microbial groups exhibit extremely high effectiveness in purifying water and soil contaminated with substances such as vegetable oils, mineral oils, and organic chlorinated compounds. When the carrier, diatomaceous earth, comes into contact with water and contaminants, the complex microbial groups contained within it are activated. The contaminants are detoxified by the action of the microorganisms, resulting in water and carbon dioxide. 【Main Features】 ■ Easy to weigh and handle ■ Contains a selected group of powerful oil-degrading microorganisms at high concentration, so it works immediately upon activation ■ Free of surfactants and composed of naturally derived microorganisms, making it environmentally friendly *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
