We received a message from a customer living in Tokyo. They expressed a desire to have a wedding ceremony in a wedding dress made of washi paper. With the ceremony just six months away, we were on a tight schedule, but we hand-crafted our original-sized washi paper in our workshop, finishing each piece into crumpled paper by hand. The materials used are kozo (mulberry) and konjac glue. This provides a certain degree of water resistance and strength against pulling, resulting in a durability that rivals fabric. The sewing was done by Angelique, and the venue is the Tokyo Station Hotel. The finished wedding dress is as light as a feather and beautifully adorned the customer's new beginning. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationWe have accepted a project from "Aizome Washi" to create ponchos using indigo-dyed washi paper. Our workshop is cooperating in supplying the raw material kozo and in the production of custom washi paper measuring 1.4m x 2.0m. The kozo that has been thoroughly indigo-dyed does not lose any color during the papermaking process and maintains a vibrant hue. It is dyed in an astonishingly uniform and deep blue, yet the texture of the washi is not compromised, feeling no different from regular paper. I truly realize that natural pigments have a good compatibility with washi paper. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
