Until now, using industrial oil for rust prevention on iron has been common, but industrial oil is costly and its active use is not desirable from the perspective of carbon neutrality and SDGs. Therefore, rust prevention paper has begun to be adopted as a rational material that can contribute to the environment. Here is an example of initiatives from the university's environmental committee. While promoting paper management, the university faced the issue of a large amount of copy paper being used, with unclear disposal pathways after its use. There was a desire to address this problem. Students advocated to the university administration to promote the collection of copy paper generated on campus, with a portion being recycled to create original university recycled paper, making recycling visible. Original paper bags were produced from the recycled copy paper and used as bags for materials during the new students' orientation. Additionally, as part of club activities, a tour of the original recycled paper manufacturing process was conducted. Here is an introduction to the case of origami cranes recycled paper. The challenge is the effective utilization of origami cranes sent from around the world to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. Through a project to recycle the 10 tons of origami cranes received annually, we aim to promote NPO activities that contribute to world peace. As a result, we have recycled the origami cranes into business cards and postcards. We would like to introduce a case where goldenrod (Seitakawadachisou) was recycled into envelopes. We have been addressing the challenges of promoting initiatives to protect and revitalize agricultural land in reclaimed wetlands, as well as the eradication and utilization of goldenrod that occurs in the lagoon. As a tool to convey "consideration for harmony with the environment" and "contribution to the community," we created original envelopes made by incorporating powdered goldenrod into the paper. We are utilizing this as a tool for raising awareness of the benefits of NPO activities, strengthening collaboration among various organizations, and promoting activities. We would like to introduce a case of recycling highway toll tickets into original paper bags. Toll tickets generated on highways are typically collected by paper wholesalers and are commonly used as inner paper for cardboard due to their magnetic properties. By visualizing the recycling of toll tickets that are discarded in unseen places, we aimed to promote environmental activities. We utilized the material of the toll tickets to create paper bags distributed to people using the parking areas. We would like to introduce a case where a memo pad made from star dust and a writing paper were used to revitalize the community. As part of the town's revitalization efforts, we branded it as "Japan's Best Starry Sky" and took action to protect the best starry sky in Japan with the participation of all villagers. The tourism bureau produces brochures for public relations each season, but they were discarding the leftover brochures each season. As the first step in undertaking activities as a town-wide initiative, we created original recycled paper from the tourism bureau's brochures. Here is an example of a notebook promoting the SDGs. Every year, thousands of copies of our environmental report are discarded at the end of the fiscal year.
