The catalog for the fire-resistant laminated wood "Moen Gen" has been updated as of April 2026. Why doesn't it drip? Why is it resistant to efflorescence? What about reducing life cycle costs? In addition to use in semi-outdoor eaves and skeleton ceilings, there are steadily increasing examples of adoption in places where the use of other fire-resistant woods is difficult, such as ceilings in bathroom facilities. "Moen Gen" uses a natural, penetrating type of paint, which retains the scent and texture of the wood, and if minor efflorescence occurs, it can be easily treated unlike urethane coatings. Additionally, since it is laminated wood, disadvantages such as shrinkage and warping are reduced, improving the maintenance of the building. We have also obtained ministerial certification with the coating, eliminating the need for on-site painting and reducing the burden. We would like to express our condolences to those who lost their lives in the Noto Peninsula earthquake of 2024, and we sincerely sympathize with those who were affected by the disaster. Our company has a factory in Shika Town, which is a disaster-stricken area. Fortunately, there were no human casualties; however, we were affected by water supply disruptions, and there were times when our production line was halted. Additionally, under our corporate philosophy of the "Return to the Mountains Project," we create products that make effective use of timber resources sourced from the trees of Noto, ensuring that no part is wasted. We also add value to wood scraps, which cannot be used as building materials, by upcycling them into new products. All of these activities aim to promote forestry, maintain the mountains to prevent degradation, and strive for a sustainable environmental cycle that continues into the future. From this sentiment, we wish to provide support for recovery to the mountains, trees, and those engaged in the forestry and timber industries who have been affected by this earthquake. A portion of the sales from our charity products will be donated to the Ishikawa Prefecture Timber Industry Promotion Association, and we will work together to support the recovery of the forestry sector.
