As part of our efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, our company will be expanding the solar power generation system on the roof of our headquarters and factory, utilizing the Miyagi Prefecture Carbon Dioxide Emission Reduction Support Project (Renewable Energy Equipment Installation Project) subsidy. With this system expansion, we anticipate an annual power generation of a total of 389,825 kWh and an expected annual reduction of carbon dioxide emissions of 173.660 tons. We are pleased to announce that our company has obtained "SBT certification for small and medium-sized enterprises" from the international climate change initiative SBTi. We have set a target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from Scope 1 and Scope 2 by 50% by 2030 compared to the fiscal year 2018. We are actively working towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions to achieve net zero. *What is SBT? SBT refers to greenhouse gas emission reduction targets set by companies that are aligned with the levels required by the Paris Agreement. SBT requires the reduction of supply chain emissions (which include not only the emissions directly from the company but also all emissions related to business activities).
