This document provides information about the lightning rod <PDCE lightning rod> designed to avoid lightning strikes. The "PDCE" is a lightning rod that differs from the conventional "lightning rods that attract lightning and dissipate current," as it is based on the innovative concept of a "mechanism to avoid lightning strikes themselves." It offers a detailed explanation of product technical information, including basic knowledge about lightning rods, the mechanism of lightning strikes, and the PDCE lightning rod, supplemented with charts and diagrams. [Contents (excerpt)] ■ Introduction ■ What is a lightning rod? ■ Mechanism of lightning strikes ■ PDCE lightning rod ■ Relation to factory equipment *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

The "PDCE" is a lightning rod that suppresses lightning strikes by generating a negative electrode at the top of a building, completely contrary to the conventional lightning rod concept, and preventing discharge from this lightning rod. This document introduces feedback from customers who have used multiple units of this product over several years. There are examples of reduced lightning strike incidents occurring within facilities. [Contents] - Situation along private railway lines in Tokyo - Feedback from Odakyu Electric Railway - Situation at a broadcasting station - Feedback from a Toyama private broadcasting station - Protecting the deep-sea drilling vessel "Chikyu" from lightning in the open sea - The PDCE lightning rod complies with the "Building Standards Act" for lightning protection equipment - Protection range and usage considerations *This document summarizes feedback from our customers; however, it reflects past results and does not guarantee that there will never be lightning strikes in the future. Please note the fact that damage has been reduced. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Our lightning rod "PDCE" is different from the typical "lightning rods that generate upward leaders"; it is equipped with a mechanism to "avoid the lightning strike itself." We are currently offering a collection of case studies with photos and performance data. 【Examples of Use】 <Transportation> ◎ Airport facilities (radar antennas, ILS antennas, apron lighting, hangars, aviation fuel storage facilities) ◎ Port facilities (gantry cranes) ◎ Railways (signal stations, substations, level crossings) ◎ Roads (lighting in service areas and parking areas) <Buildings> ◎ Hospitals ◎ Offices, hotels, apartments ◎ Data centers ◎ Factories ◎ Golf courses ◎ Wooden structures <Open Areas> ◎ Schoolyards, sports fields ◎ Amusement parks, baseball fields <Others> ◎ Wireless antennas (fishing radio, mobile phone base stations, broadcasting stations, emergency disaster prevention radio) ◎ Outdoor surveillance cameras ◎ Energy and chemical industries ◎ Vessels *Please view from <Download>.

We are introducing examples of PDCE lightning rods in a video. Higashi Honganji Temple (Taito Ward, Tokyo), the head temple of the Jodo Shinshu Higashi Honganji sect, has implemented a lightning suppression system to protect the Great Buddha of Amida (located in Ushiku City, Ibaraki Prefecture) from lightning strikes. As climate warming progresses and the frequency of lightning strikes increases, we have implemented additional safety measures for our visitors. [Installation Examples] ■ Great Buddha of Amida (Ushiku City, Ibaraki Prefecture) ■ Lightning suppression system implemented *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

We have delivered lightning protection rods for lightning suppression to the deep-sea exploration vessel "Chikyu," owned by the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology. The PDCE lightning rod, installed on a 120m tall derrick, forms a barrier that completely covers the vessel (length 210m), preventing lightning strikes within its range. This ensures that "Chikyu" is always protected from lightning strikes, no matter where it conducts research on Earth. [Installation Example] ■ Deep-sea exploration vessel "Chikyu" ■ Delivered lightning protection rods ■ Installed on a 120m tall derrick *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
