Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where "PDCE" units were installed on transmission towers for the Electric Power Department of Kamioka Mining Co., Ltd., which operates a hydropower plant. In August 2019, a transmission line in the mountains was struck directly by lightning. A lightning surge flowed into the substation, causing damage to some of the equipment. In the winter of 2023, lightning struck again on a transmission line in the high mountains, resulting in significant operational challenges such as securing personnel for recovery and arranging alternative measures due to the damage caused by the lightning strike. After hearing about the achievements of other operators who have implemented PDCE on transmission towers, the company decided to adopt it as soon as possible and installed it on all 25 transmission towers, each 40 to 50 meters tall. The PDCE lightning protection ball, equipped with features that prevent lightning strikes, has already protected 4,100 units nationwide, including those for the Self-Defense Forces, railways, factories, and outdoor sports facilities. 【Case Summary】 ■ Challenges - Lightning struck the transmission line, requiring three weeks to resume operations. - The operations required for recovery after being hit by lightning again were substantial. ■ Results - Installed on 25 transmission towers, each 40 to 50 meters tall, enabling us to get through the winter of 2024 without any accidents. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where the Musashi Mitake Shrine, located at the summit of Mount Mitake, utilized subsidies to implement the "PDCE Lightning Ball." Due to the frequent thunderstorms in the area, lightning strikes on trees and equipment damage from induced lightning occur almost every year. Furthermore, in the fall of 2022, a significant lightning strike completely disabled the security and disaster prevention functions. Since the items we want to protect, including the treasure hall, are designed to fit within the protective area of the PDCE, we decided to replace the four lightning rods with one PDCE. We utilized subsidies from Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Ome City for the replacement of damaged equipment and the introduction of new facilities. The PDCE Lightning Ball, equipped with features that prevent lightning strikes, has already protected 4,100 installations nationwide, including those in the Self-Defense Forces, railways, factories, and outdoor sports facilities. [Case Summary] ■ Challenges - Frequent thunderstorms from summer to autumn - A significant lightning strike completely disabled security and disaster prevention functions ■ Results - Replaced four lightning rods with one PDCE - Equipment failures due to induced lightning still occur, but they are now manageable with repairs *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe "ALB Anti Lightning Ball" is a PDCE lightning protection ball equipped with a function that does not invite lightning strikes. It is patented in Japan and the United States (Japan: Patent No. 6128539, USA: US 10,992,111 B2). Aiming for improved performance compared to the conventional method of opposing upper and lower electrodes, the internal electrode, which is grounded, is covered by the outer electrode to reduce the exposure of the internal electrode. This design minimizes the exposure of the internal electrode at any angle. In discharge tests conducted at Pau University, it demonstrated the ability not to discharge even when the maximum voltage was applied. Since this is an indoor test, it is unclear how much difference there is in the protective area outdoors, but it is certain that it outperforms conventional PDCEs in discharge performance. The material used is SUS304. Please feel free to contact us when you need assistance. 【Features】 ■ Does not require a power source as it utilizes charges induced from the ground ■ Maintenance does not incur costs or effort for replenishing salts ■ Made of durable stainless steel (SUS304) ■ Trusted Japanese manufacturing (10-year product warranty) *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe "Lightning Protection Ball (ALB)" is a lightning protection device that, by attaching an insulator to the outer circumference of an electrode that also serves as a support, and covering the protruding part with a spherical electrode in a double structure, generates negative charges above it as the positive charge on the ground increases, thereby suppressing lightning strikes. It has over 3,400 installations in Japan (as of 2020) and has pursued the prevention of "welcoming discharge" by further narrowing the area of positive charge compared to the conventional "PDCE Lightning Rod." It has also achieved improvements in the strength of the electrode. 【Features】 ■ Can be used as a lightning receiving part under the Building Standards Act ■ No power supply required / grounding is necessary ■ Minimal maintenance costs and effort ■ Patent application No. 2019-175708. Patents obtained in the U.S. and Europe ■ Performance verified through discharge voltage testing according to French standards (NF C17) Lightning Protection Ball (Large): Diameter 200mm / Height 390mm / Weight approximately 5.5kg Lightning Protection Ball (Small): Diameter 120mm / Height 235mm / Weight approximately 2.2kg *Please feel free to contact us for inquiries about installation. Free membership registrationWe are currently offering "manga" and "case materials" that introduce the benefits of the PDCE lightning ball! Please check them out from the <download> link. Conventional lightning rods attract lightning, which poses a risk of equipment failure due to lightning currents flowing through buildings. Our "PDCE lightning ball" is a lightning rod with a reverse-thinking mechanism designed to "avoid lightning strikes themselves." It gathers the same charge as lightning at the top of the lightning rod, preventing the generation of "welcoming discharges" that would attract lightning, thus avoiding strikes. 【Over 100 units used in the Tokyo Olympics - More than 4,000 units nationwide】 Used by major railways, highways, the Self-Defense Forces, chemical complexes, data centers, broadcasting stations, mobile base stations, renewable energy power plants, fire stations, disaster prevention facilities, outdoor sports facilities, golf courses, temples and shrines, schools, outdoor live venues, outdoor digital signage, condominiums, single-family homes, and more. 【Features of the PDCE lightning ball】 ■ Can be used as a "receiving part" under the Building Standards Act ■ Can be installed by replacing conventional pointed lightning rods with PDCE lightning balls ■ Domestic dedicated factory - Quick response to options based on needs ■ If damaged by a direct lightning strike, free replacement for up to 10 years from installation.
