We would like to introduce a research and development case of the rubber-resin cross-linked composite material 'Radicalock(R)', which was adopted for the development of the composite film "R-COMPO" for shoe soles handled by Daicel-Evonik Co., Ltd. Rubber has excellent performance and functionality as a material for shoe soles, such as grip and abrasion resistance, but the conventional technology had the drawback of making rubber shoe soles heavy. To address this, we achieved a lightweight and high-performance rubber shoe sole by applying minimal rubber in a stud-like pattern on a thin and light resin film. By using transparent resin, we increased the design freedom for the shoe sole. In addition, we also have examples of independent research and development. 【Research and Development Cases】 ■ Inter-company collaborative development ■ Independent research and development *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe will introduce case studies that utilize the rubber compound "Radicalock," which is a rubber-plastic cross-linked composite material, to address issues related to product lightweighting and energy saving. Parts used for transportation and braking, such as rubber rollers and rubber stoppers, are often bonded to a metal base. However, there is a strong demand for using plastic instead, as metal is heavy and difficult to process into various shapes. With our product, it is possible to manufacture composite parts that firmly bond plastic and rubber. This greatly expands the design possibilities for rubber components. 【Features】 ■ Lightweighting ■ Energy saving ■ Rationalization of part shapes ■ Improved maintenance efficiency ■ Reduction in the number of parts *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study that solves the problem of eliminating the hassle of disassembly cleaning and reducing the risk of foreign material contamination due to detachment, using our rubber 'Radicalock' for rubber-plastic cross-linked composite materials. Since rubber has poor adhesion, it is often fixed in place with fittings or screws. This can lead to dirt accumulating in the gaps between the rubber and the base, necessitating disassembly cleaning, which can result in parts falling off and getting lost or causing foreign material contamination. With our product, it is possible to manufacture composite parts where plastic and rubber are tightly bonded without gaps. The absence of gaps and the elimination of the need for disassembly significantly enhance the safety and usability of the product. 【Features】 ■ Improved material properties ■ Safety ■ Increased maintenance efficiency ■ Improved manufacturing processes ■ Reduction in the number of parts ■ New manufacturing technology *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study of problem-solving that developed a product that does not exist in the world using the rubber 'Radicalock(R)' for rubber-plastic cross-linked composite materials. When it comes to using elastic materials, TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) is often chosen, but TPE has many weaknesses, such as being sensitive to heat and prone to wear. With our product, it is possible to achieve reliable adhesion even with a small bonding area, allowing for point bonding of rubber and rib-like bonding. Additionally, there is a composite film that combines rubber with a flexible resin sheet. 【Features】 ■ Weight reduction ■ Rationalization of part shapes ■ Improvement of material properties ■ New manufacturing technology *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registration"Radicalock(R)" is a formulated rubber that combines peroxide cross-linked synthetic rubber, such as EPDM and silicone rubber, with additional materials and additives, and is then blended with a cross-linking reaction promoter for plastics. It applies the technology of direct adhesion between plastics and rubber developed by Daicel Evonik Co., Ltd. Through the chemical reactions occurring within a mold loaded with plastic components, molecular chains (cross-linking chains) are formed at the interface between the rubber and plastic, creating a strong bond. [Features] ■ Solves adhesive issues ■ Usable with plastics ■ Simplifies the manufacturing process *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registration"Rajikarokku" is a technology that firmly bonds rubber and plastic, which are difficult to adhere using adhesives or double-sided tape, through direct chemical bonding to create composite materials. The technology applies a peroxide-induced crosslinking reaction of rubber to bond rubber and plastic. At the interface between rubber and plastic, the molecular chains of rubber and plastic are crosslinked. It also contributes to the simplification of the manufacturing process, eliminating the need for steps required in traditional adhesive processes, such as surface roughening, degreasing, primer application, and adhesive application, leading to a reduction in manufacturing time and improvement in yield. 【Features】 ■ Can bond silicone and nylon ■ Adhesive strength exceeds the tensile strength of rubber ■ No concerns about solvent odor, degradation peeling, or reduction in physical properties ■ No need for adhesive application or alignment *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationOur company offers three types of adhesive technologies for different materials. "Radicalock" provides strong adhesion even on small surfaces. At the interface between rubber and resin, cross-linking (chemical bonding) occurs between the molecular chains of both materials, resulting in a robust bond. In addition, we have "AKI-Lock," which can accommodate various resins and rubbers and allows for easy laser treatment of resin surfaces, and "DLAMP," which is compatible with a variety of metals. 【Three Types of Adhesive Technologies for Different Materials】 ■ No need for solvent degreasing: "Radicalock" ■ No worries about uneven application: "AKI-Lock" ■ Strong bonding even with difficult-to-adhere materials: "DLAMP" *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce our product, 'Radicalock VB Latex.' It is a specially formulated liquid rubber that covers the surface of resin (Veil) and simply requires heating (Bake). You can paint only the necessary parts or dip the entire surface, allowing for the implementation of a rubber coating at the micron level on resin parts. It is suitable for applications where you want to add grip or tackiness to parts, or in areas where coating is difficult due to complex shapes. 【Manufacturing Process】 ■STEP 1: Apply VB Latex ■STEP 2: Heating triggers a chemical reaction ■STEP 3: The rubber coating is formed through chemical bonding *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
