The SLTCAT-39 is a small vibration generator that hugs the structure you want to shake and provides excitation force to the structure by vibrating. Since the device itself acts as an inertial body to generate excitation force, a reaction base is not required. It enables vibration characteristic analysis and verification of damping characteristics through frequency sweep tests and pinpoint vibration tests. For example, by applying any excitation force to the columns of a detached house, it is possible to analyze the house's natural vibration characteristics and predict resonance during an earthquake. Originally developed for cable excitation of existing cable-stayed bridges, this device allows for portable and easy execution of vibration experiments on existing structures.
