The "SP Clamp Method" is a construction technique for replacing the deck of a simple PC composite girder bridge using precast PC deck slabs while maintaining the load-bearing capacity of the existing structure. By cutting the existing main girder stirrups and crimping a fixed steel pipe to their ends, the functionality of the stirrups is preserved. Additionally, by extending the stirrups through steel pipe crimping at the cutout sections of the PC deck slab, it is possible to maintain the necessary load-bearing performance against the lateral movement of the main girder web. 【Features】 ■ Enables rapid replacement of the PC composite girder deck without compromising the specified load-bearing performance of the existing main girder, utilizing precast PC deck slabs. ■ The use of wire sawing methods during the removal of the deck from the top of the main girder allows for a reduction in construction time. ■ This method is based on the premise of removing the upper edge rebar of the deck, including the hook section of the main girder stirrups, which are at high risk of corrosion due to the application of anti-freezing agents on the road surface. ■ The reliability of ensuring durability performance is improved. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
