Tokyo Power Generation is a specialized hydropower company founded in 1928 as Himekawa Electric Power, a subsidiary of Tokyo Electric Light (now Tokyo Electric Power Company). Since changing its name to the current one in 1986, it has been advancing into new business areas as a professional group in power generation, engaging not only in hydropower plants but also in the construction, operation, maintenance, and inspection of thermal and wind power plants.
