The goal was to offload heavy computational processing to a host computer and create a low-cost seismometer and long-period vibration meter. A system capable of monitoring earthquakes and long-period vibrations at a low cost, composed of RX21A, RS-485, Modbus, and FRAM, has been completed. By using a built-in ΔΣADC, we achieved cost reduction.
