SSC Corporation, which manufactures and sells non-contact temperature sensors, has begun the development of the "Temperature Abnormality Monitoring Unit Thermal Watcher (tentative name)." **Background of Development** This product was developed in response to customer needs for a low-cost unit that can detect abnormal heating due to terminal loosening within control panels, preventing fires and accidents before they occur. Additionally, this product aims to be usable in various applications, not limited to control panels, as it allows for easy implementation of temperature monitoring over a wide area. **Features of the Product** The product consists of a sensor and a controller. The sensor uses a thermopile array sensor, which outputs temperature information divided into 32×32 segments within a field of view (90 degrees vertically and horizontally) and sends it to the controller. The controller can connect multiple sensors to one unit, determining whether the maximum temperature of each sensor exceeds a set threshold and issuing an alarm in case of abnormalities. Furthermore, the temperature information from each sensor is output via Modbus RTU communication, allowing for connection with higher-level devices such as PLCs and PCs. *Please note that the product overview is based on content during development and may be subject to change.*

SSC Corporation will release the "SSV Series" module for easier integration of temperature measurement devices. This product uses a thermopile array sensor, which outputs temperature-converted measurement values. Thermopiles have lower manufacturing costs than bolometers and are suitable for mass-produced products, excelling particularly in continuous temperature monitoring. Until now, the number of pixels was inferior to that of bolometers, preventing its use as thermal imaging; however, recently, there are thermopile sensors with over 5,000 pixels, making it possible to use them as high-resolution thermal imaging.

The "SW-74" is an easy-to-use seismometer that utilizes a high-precision servo-type pickup for earthquake detection. Due to the adoption of a high-precision servo-type pickup in the seismometer sensor, it achieves measurements at 1 gal (1/1000G).
