Solar-powered lighting panels have been installed on our premises since the end of last year. These were set up for the purpose of studying the relationship between power generation and weather data, in collaboration with Leaflight Co., Ltd., the lighting manufacturer, a weather information company, and a telecommunications manufacturer. The installation process began by digging a one-meter square hole at the installation site, into which a foundation was embedded. The foundation's anchor was aligned with the base of the lighting pole, secured with bolts, and equipment such as batteries was set up inside the lighting pole. Finally, the lighting was tested to confirm it was operational, and the work was completed. The Japan Lighting Manufacturers Association (JLMA) has set a goal in its lighting growth strategy "Lighting Vision 2030" to achieve a 100% market share of SSL (solid-state lighting, including LED, organic EL, and laser lighting) in the lighting fixture stock market by 2030. This achievement is projected to result in a 50% reduction in power consumption compared to 2006 levels. As of last year (2020), the SSL market share for non-residential lighting fixtures (indoor and outdoor) was 53% overall. The outdoor lighting poles supplied by our company are considered to be included in this category; however, when replacing existing conventional lighting with LED lighting, an adapter is required as a connecting component to connect the pole and the lighting fixture. This period marks the peak season for adapter shipments, and the factory is overflowing with adapters.
